I've been adding more details to his story, he has a pet now! lol

First off, I'd like to say that the wolf in the background, has no idea
what it is getting itself into LOL. This is Kathal (KAH al), he is a
badass

Personality: Kathal considers himself a loyal stag, serving
as a soldier in the Silverthorne herd and doing his best to protect
them. He is very strong, serious, and his combat skills are second to none.
He is brave and resourceful but can often be volatile, quickly resorting
to violence if threatened, more than likely brought on by his somewhat
violent past with his father. Unlike most of the Silverthorne herd,
Kathal doesn't much fall for the religious beliefs of the majority,
a stag makes his own luck and no matter of superstition is going to
change that. He can be quiet a ladies man and doesn't see himself
setting down with just one doe.

History: Kathal's mother is a kind-hearted and soft-spoken young
doe, promised to one of the 5 general of Silverthorne. She is only 5 when
Kathal is born, making her extremely protective of her young
son, she tries to shield him from danger although his father has other
ideas. Kathal's father was elated to find that one of his mates had
produced a stag fawn the year of Kathal's birth. The first and only male
offspring from the general and he was golden to boot. The general had
big plans for the new arrival, he would raise him to be tough and maybe
one day he would grow up and be a powerful stag like himself.

Kathal is put in soldier training and is forced to compete against older
and larger stags from a very young age. He learns that he has to be
both strong and quick on his feet if he is going to survive. His father
pushed him into situation that he is not ready for with his mother unable
to do much of anything to stop him.

Kathal's only trust is in his companion Kit, a golden hawk that helps him
scout for impending danger. He met the young bird while out on a scouting
trip. She was wrapped up in the batch of vines unable to get out when Kathal
came along and helped her free. She agreed to help the golden stag with
his scouting duties in order to repay him. The two soon became very close
and have been together since. They do part occasionally during the breeding
season and when the hawk must hunt to feed.

Kathal, still without his first set of antlers, is sent on his first trip
to bring down and kill off a pack of menacing wolves. Although expressing
his concerns of not being ready, his father persuades him with guilt to
continue the mission. This doesn't end well for Kathal, he is pinned in
by the wolves and nearly loses his left as a result. This doesn't make
his father let up. His father continues to pressure him more and more
resulting in Kathal to strike out at him. Leading to an argument that ends
in a rather harsh beating that leaves Kathal broken. After that, Kathal
does everything in his power to make his father happy, at any cost,
including things his mother would be very disappointed if she knew he
had done. This turn the young stag into a disheartened stag, even after
his father dies, he is still doing things he could never imagine himself
doing to make him happy.

Now, at the age of 9, Kathal is a high ranking soldier in Silverthorne. He is
considered the go to stag when something undesirable needs to be done. He
spends much of his time in secret and is often sent on missions for the king
and his generals. Being one of the more powerful stag in Silverthorne, he can
easily win a match against any stag and has his pick of does during the Rut.
