The snow had begun to fall around the pale does’ thicket, the place the doe was standing was dry, with warm embers and fire flickering about. Lifting her head, tail curling and uncurling at her decision. Glancing at her belly, she wondered faintly if he would even want a fawn born by her? She had been tainted. What if that taint carried over to their little one? Not to mention the feelings the pale doe felt towards him. Shaking her head, trying to rid herself of the doubts her mind still carried. Night had fallen, and Ru was rarely this late in coming to visit. Had something gone wrong on his patrol? Or perhaps something with one of his other does?
